Product Review Summary: A game that had potential I was very excited when I learned of a new Call of Duty game coming. In the beginning, World At War had a lot of promise. The expected photoreal environments that we were first exposed to in Call of Duty 4 were there. Cool maps. Etc. But, over time gameplay became increasingly frustrating. Attacking dogs became increasingly difficult to kill. I refer to them as "Skynet" dogs because of their seeming invincibility to bullets or knives. After Treyarch, the developers of the game, claimed to have "fixed" the dogs with a patch, it became more obvious that little had changed. And in fact, the game was worse. Thankfully, Modern Warfare 2 has arrived. Infinity Ward is much better at the Call of Duty franchise. Sorry to say, but I don't see myself picking up any more Treyarch games. Stick with Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 is an excellent game.
Product Review Summary: Overall, Good but Not Great! I got this game because I am a fan of Modern Warfare and thought it looked fun. However, the single player campaign was no where near as fun or orginal as MW. There were many places I got fustrated and walked away. As far as the Xbox Live multiplayer goes it is pretty sweet and a lot like Modern Warfare with the rank system, perks, and weapon classes. I'm just a little mad that I can't play any playlist without getting kicked out for not having the newest map packs. So, if your buying this game for multiplayer be warned that you'll have to spend another $30 for the 3 map packs that have been released so far. Otherwise you could spend 10 minutes just trying to get into a game on a included map.
As a result we will not destroy your planet but nor will we give you the recipe for immortality.
Product Review Summary: Nazi Zombies - best & most fun multiplayer game ever! This is the best COD game yet. It's much better than Modern Warfare! The campaign is excellent. There's lots of stuff to do in multiplayer. Nazi Zombies is great. This was the #1 game on xbox live for a while.
Nazi Zombies is the best online game I've ever played. There are 4 nazi zombie maps. Each one is a great challenge to master. For one thing, you have to learn a lot about each map and memorize its layout. Each map requires its own strategy. They'll keep you busy for at least several weeks, probably much longer. It's very addicting. You'll want to play it again and again. I think you'll never really get tired of it, just like people don't get tired of playing chess. It's different each time. I mean it never proceeds exactly the same way each time. It's like the addiction of gambling: you'll keep wanting to play one more time to see if you'll do better. It's the only 4 player coop game I know of that works really well. I mean yeah, there are some people who will mess up your game, but sometimes you end up in a really good group of people. When you play this on xbox live, PLEASE USE A HEADPHONE!!! This game requires cooperation, and there are those who don't use a headphone, so I have to keep finding matches until I get a group where everyone has a headphone. I don't know why so many stupid people don't use a headphone. Usually when you use matchmaking, you get 3 people who have a headphone and one person who doesn't. So I keep trying. Also, DO NOT TRY TO HOG THE ZOMBIES JUST FOR YOURSELF!!! I get tired of people who run around and try to kill most of the zombies themselves so that they can rack up the most points at other people's expense. It's like all they care about is themselves and they don't care about if someone else has bad weapons and needs points to buy new weapons. Everybody needs good weapons so that the group can go to higher levels!
I don't like playing Nazi Zombies with kids, because they tend to be wild, reckless, and are terrible at strategy. I've gone the most rounds with adults, because they work together far better and are more intelligent and use better strategies. Also I've found that people who love to talk a lot and make stupid jokes during the game end up making the game not last very long because they care more about talking and screwing around than about making the game go to a high number of rounds. I'd rather play with 3 other quiet, intelligent, mature people who have a good sense of strategy and do what's best for the group. I've lasted the most rounds with such people. I mean when I play Nazi Zombies, my primary objective is to set a new record for myself as to how many rounds I've lasted. And I can't do that with most kids, or people who primarily like to goof around and hear the sound of their own voice, or people who just like to be reckless and hog the points for themselves. One thing I like about COD5 is that they don't penalize you for leaving games like Halo 3 does. So when I get into a game with a bad group or if someone starts verbally abusing me, I just leave and start a new game rather than waste a lot of time trying to get far with such people and failing.
