The DECT1580-4 cordless phone by Uniden is packed with time-saving features that help you better manage your calls. It features a large display screen and orange backlit keys which make it a snap to dial the correct number or access features, even in low-light conditions. The phonebook feature stores up to 70 names with an alphabetical search, unique ringers you can assign to specific calling parties and an option to transfer either a single listing or the entire phonebook. The bilingual menus in both English and Spanish guide you through every step so you can take full advantage of the 10 full hours of talk time per battery charge. Never miss a call with the digital answering system that has up to 14-minutes of recording time. The DECT1580-4 includes three extra handsets and chargers/cradles. About DECT Technology: Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz). As a result, DECT phones offer consumers enhanced voice clarity and crystal clear digital sound quality. DECT 6.0 technology also offers higher security and voice protection, as well as a longer battery and battery standby life than existing 2.4 GHZ or 5.8 GHz phones.

Product Review Summary: Excellent Product The reception is excellent even several houses away. The phonebook feature is easily copied to all the phones The battery life is excellent even if you forget to place it on the charger overnight.The 'find' feature is very helpful when a handset 'goes missing.' This phone doesn't have a speed dial (one key) feature but the phonebook feature is user friendly and one can quickly use the dial feature from that. Overall, I'm very satisfied. It's a great phone system. I highly recommend it.
Product Review Summary: So Far...So Good! My husband has a set of Uniden Cordless phones at his work and has been very happy with the quality and reception. So when our home phones started to go...we decided to order this set. So far...so good! We love having 4 different handsets spread throughout our house. The handsets are of a good weight and have a great display screen. I like being able to program the phone book and having a different ring tone for friends/family. Also, you can access messages on the answering machine from any phone in the house. The reception is great and the volume control on the handsets is very handy. The only minor complaint I would have are the bases for the phones. They are very lightweight and you have to be very precise in putting the phone back into the cradle or it will go flying off your furniture. Other than that, I would recommend these phones.
Product Review Summary: Uniden Unique Phone Very Easy to read numbers. The instruction manual could be more explanitory. Battery seems to be holding a charge well. Slim and attractive appearance. It is so nice to have satellite phones that by programming numbers in one phone can be easilly "transferred" to the remaining phones.... great feature!
Product Review Summary: Can't Get Working Battery I purchased this Uniden in November. I have yet to get a working battery for one of the units. The one which came with the receiver was dead. I contacted the seller through Amazon and was immediately sent another one. It was dead also. Would not work in any of the receivers. The seller agreed to send another battery, but said they had to wait until there was a customer return. No wonder some customers are receiving bad products. They are being recycled. Even if I get a working battery, the life will most likely have been shortened.
I basically have a 3 unit set, which I am happy with otherwise. Just frustrated with the battery situation and the hassle it has been.
Product Review Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS We bought a set of Uniden phones, which came with 4 hand sets. Upon opening the package, one stops working. After another month, another one stops working. So it has been 3 years, the other two can barely hold any battery!!! It is pretty fraustrating. I can't even finish an one hr conference call when i work from home.
