The DECT1580-3 cordless phone by Uniden is packed with time-saving features that help you better manage your calls. The phonebook feature stores up to 70 names with an alphabetical search, unique ringers you can assign to specific calling parties and an option to transfer either a single listing or the entire phonebook. The bilingual menus in both English and Spanish guide you through every step so you can take full advantage of the 10 full hours of talk time per battery charge. Never miss a call with the digital answering system that has up to 14-minutes of recording time. The DECT1580-3 includes two extra handsets and chargers/cradles. About DECT Technology: Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz). As a result, DECT phones offer consumers enhanced voice clarity and crystal clear digital sound quality. Product Review Summary: Sorry I bought it I have just returned this phone set to the manufacturer, per instructions. It started out OK when I installed it after properly allowing the batteries to reach full charge. But in use I encountered intermittent dial tones; and the phone call tests would not "end." After hours of frustration trying to follow the minimal instructions in the included guidebook, then trying to do the same with the downloadable Owners' Manual, I finally gave up and called Customer Service. The rep immediately said it sounded like a "base phone" issue, and I should return it to the store where I purchased it. This, despite the instructions on the box NOT to return it to the seller. A lotta grief and frustration for what should be a simple item in today's high tech world. I've replaced it with a Vtech system We'll see if that goes any easier.
Product Review Summary: Uniden DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System Our old phone system was gradually failing. The Uniden system seemed to fit our needs very well and the price was right. It installed easily and after some initial fumbling with the controls (different placement vs our previous Uniden phone system) it is doing everything expected from it.
The one issue was the istructions included with the unit. The directions for set up of the answering machine were not complete or were for another Uniden phone. It was necessary to download the correct instructions from the Uniden website before we could correctly set up voice mail and remote access.
Product Review Summary: Uniden Dect 6.0 A wonderful phone, very clear and one can add several extensions. We ordered Orange phone to go with this one for my Husbands workshop.
Takes awhile to get it programmed with the main base, but it will work.
Product Review Summary: Good Phone, but.... I've only begun using it today, and it appears to work quite well. Nice, clear signal, loaded with a lot of good features, but the lack of an input for a headset really has me scratching my head. Why did they leave off so valuable a feature, I'd much rather they left out some of the more esoteric, & superfluous ones they've added.
While it does have the capability of using the handset as a speakerphone, I'd much prefer the privacy & portability of plugging a headset in. If I'm doing something in the kitchen or even at the computer, a speakerphone will pick up far more of the background noise than a mic by my mouth, and I'll be able to hear better with a speaker by my ear, than sitting on a table or counter. Plus, if I want to be walking around, with the phone in my pocket, it will make both me, and the person I'm speaking to, have a very difficult time hearing each other.
I'm not sure if this will move me go to the trouble of returning it, it may, cause it's either deal with the inconvenience now, one time, or experience many more days of inconvenience, due to no headset, later.....
Product Review Summary: Device is not working proprtly The device has not been working properly . Most of the time the computer states does it is not recognizing the device. Recommendation to plug it in again. Has worked after 4 to 10 efforts, but sometimes never. I regret this purchase, and will not order anything over the net anymore.
