The DCX150 is compatible with the DECT 1500, 2000, 2100, 2900 or 3000 cordless phone series including the WXI2077 Waterproof Cordless Phone (some features may not be supported when combining models). The DCX150 cordless phone is packed with time-saving features that help you better manage your calls. It features a large display screen and orange backlit keys which make it a snap to dial the correct number or access features, even in low-light conditions. The phonebook feature stores up to 70 names with an alphabetical search, unique ringers you can assign to specific calling parties and an option to transfer either a single listing or the entire phonebook. The bilingual menus in both English and Spanish guide you through every step so you can take full advantage of the 10 full hours of talk time per battery charge. About DECT Technology: Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz). As a result, DECT phones offer consumers enhanced voice clarity and crystal clear digital sound quality. Product Review Summary: Nice additional handset I was looking for additional handsets for my DECT2080-2 base unit and came across the DCX150.
Things I like:
- A bit bigger than the DCX200 and fits nicely in your hand
- Thicker phone makes it easier to hold against shoulder with no hands
- Orange backlighting is easier to read than the blue on the DCX210.
Things I don't like:
- NiCad 500mAh battery (BT-1007)
-- DCX210 is about the same physical size phone and features, but has a NiMH battery.
- Battery is not compatible with other Uniden handsets since it is AA based instead of AAA based
- No headset jack
- No beltclip
I am not sure if it is the phones or my TMobile@Home, but I had to manually set the clocks on each handset. I don't remember doing this on the original handsets, but I had a regular POTS line back then and just don't remember. This phone really adds nothing new or special over a DCX200 other than just being a bit bigger. I have DCX150, DCX200, DCX210, and DCX300 handsets all paired to the same base station.
Product Review Summary: Works like a prince with other Uniden models but is a frog to set up. After waiting for two months to receive from Amazon the matching handset for my Uniden "Loud & Clear" Dect 6.0, I gave up on it, prepared to pay 70-90 to another dealer for the apparently rare species. But then I saw this one, the DCX150, and was able to get confirmation from Uniden that it would work with my "Loud and Clear."
It does, but it has to be reconfigured, since the DCX150 will not fit onto the base of the "Loud and Clear." The instructions for both phones are anything but. However, after considerable trial and error, I finally stumbled upon the charm. You should have no trouble getting this apparent black sheep to be part of the "Loud and Clear" family if you keep in mind the following two points while reading the instructions:
1. "Base" always refers to the base of the main phone, the one that's connected to the telephone line. It's never used in reference to the stand for the handset.
2. "Find" is actually a button on the base--one that I couldn't find for several hours. It's "hidden" behind the phone, a small, round, black button (with a flashlight and magnifying glass, I was able to determine that the word "Find" is actually written on it, though black on black is not necessarily the most obvious inscription).
Now you should be set for a quick and easy (not to mention relatively inexpensive) set-up of the handset for your slightly mismatched Uniden base.
Product Review Summary: Uniden Handset DCX150 for DECT Cordless Phone I purchased 2 of the DCX150 Handsets to add on to my existing DECT1560 Cordless phone. One unit works perfectly, while the other is defective (connection cuts off about 3 feet from base unit). I contacted Uniden Customer Care 800-297-1023. They walked me through a reset of the phone and advised that if that did not work to call back. The Reset did not work and I called Uniden again. They are willing to replace the Handset if I send them a copy of my invoice from Amazon along with $10.00 USD to send me a new phone (New Price was only $19.99)each. I think this is unacceptable, since the Handset was defective out of the box and it was within 30 days of purchase.
Product Review Summary: Uniden Extra Handset Great way to bring extra communication ability to more rooms in your house. I keep one in the garage and take it in a pocket when working outside. Paging system is cool for an intercom from upstairs to other rooms. Free standing speaker phone on each unit is a real plus! Once I discovered that EACH unit has access to the answering system I appreciated this phone even more!
