BT Business Broadband Customers Will Receive up to 2Mb Service As Standard


-/1 April, 2005 - The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/-BT Business Broadband customers will now receive up to 2Mb* service as standard, as well as reduced costs and improved service levels on selected products. From today, 1st April new customers will receive the increased speeds of up to 2Mb* - up to 4 times the speed for the same price on Single and Share products. Current customers can upgrade their speed from later this month.


Note: They appear to be serious considering it's April Fool's Day!

BT Announces New Network Control Centre (NCC) in Amsterdam




-/3 March, 2005 - The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/-BT announced the opening of a new Network Control Centre (NCC) in Amsterdam, responsible for monitoring BT’s global data network. The Amsterdam network centre will focus on the services layer of the network while the transport layer is managed by the Diegem (Belgium) NCC, opened two years ago.
