Hi,
I am a designer of WiFi Access Point modules based on Conexant chipset CX3893. Right now I am designing a serial interface for our Access point which allows it to act like a dial-up modem.

The problem I am having right now is that the Accesspoint seems to be heating up. I can't put a heatsink on it becaus of limitations in space. Any suggestion?

Hi,

what is the DC supply voltage and power consumption of the access point module?
Are you using any regulators in your design.what voltage you are droping across?

Please give more details about the design

Thankyou

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I am inputting 3.3V supply with current draw of about 580mA.
We are using ISL 6414 regulator which outputs 2.84V and 1.8 Volts supply.
