Hi All,

Hardware: Netgear WiFi router, Linksys Instant wireless pc card V3.0. running on a Dell laptop with Server 2k3.

The PCMCIA NIC is driving me up the wall. Sometimes it connects and other times it won't.

My other computer is running XP and has a PCI WiFi NIC and always detects and connects to my router, whereas I have to fight with my Laptop's NIC to get it to connect to my network.

The annoying thing is that it picks up a multitude of other networks. To me this proves that all hardware is working, along with the fact that sometimes the laptop connects without a problem.

I hardly ever move the laptop so I can't see it being a signal problem

Anybody got any ideas as to what is going on or what I might do to solve the problem?

I've got all the latest drivers installed, however I tend to get better results with the Windows Wireless connection software rather than Linksys.

MITA
