I have windows xp home on a laptop and until today connected to the Broadband using a speed-touch modem. Tonight I'm trying to connect to a new [for me] Live-box broadband. I have been successful in connecting to the Internet via a broadband cable.

I found a wifi 11 mbps IEEE 802.11b Wireless Lan Cardbus Adapter and am trying to get it connected to the Live-box, without any luck. Can someone give me advice as all I get is a connection can not be established.

I also found a zoom wireless modem - both the Cardbus and zoom have been shoved into a drawer many years ago as I did not know how to use them then, and I still have the same knowledge now as I had then - none.

Is the Cardbus out of date?
