I am looking for a wireless firewall/router that also has at least 8 wired ports. Does anyone know of a reliable router of this type that is supported by its manufacturer?

I would suggest getting a linksys. they have strong antennas. They have 4 ports to plug in. I would suggest you just getting a Ethernet Hub from you local store.

I didn't try the Linksys + hub combo. However, I did try the Linksys wireless + wired router combo. Linksys provides information on how to do this (i.e., daisy-chain routers). The results were disastrous. Linksys tech support gave several suggestions, but none of them worked. The wireless router would work sometimes. At other times, nothing would work at all!

Although Linksys' wireless router works fine by themselves, I'm reluctant to use their routers in combination with anything else.
