I have an 11mbs connection between my laptop and netgear router. While I don't have any real problems wit the setup I have noticed that it does seems a little slow. Although I haven't used any diagnostic software to check the speed properly, even with a 'perfect' reception file transfers take a long time and I have noticed that the transfer speed graph in the Ctrl-Alt-Del screen never goes above about 30% of the 11Mbs scale. While I am used to havng network overheads, on my wired network the speed will run at about 85-90% of 100Mbs. Is this kind of wireless speed normal? Are there any tools out there to more accuratley measure the speed, and maybe tweak it? My router is a Netgear DG824M and the laptop is a Dell 8500 that came with a True Mobile wireless card.

Many thanks for any help
