New to the forum. Just got a laptop that is WIFI ready. I'm going to be getting a wireless router to attach to my DSL modem. My son recomended the newest Belkin router. Hopefully I should be ready to go once I get it. Just curious. What's with the service I see in the add you show from Boingo Is wireless software something you need? TIA

Hello,
with your Belkin wireless router for your laptop you will be able to connect to the internet wireless, but with in the defined range of your belkin wireless router. For this you dont need any extra software.

but when you want o access the Internet at airports, hotels, and cafes around the world then you need take Boingo service which can provide wireless internet connection for your laptop.

I got a laptop which is wi-fi enabled and I didnt buy anything for addition. I connect wirelessly without having to sign up for any services nor pay for anything, I do have few choices which network I would like to connect. I also leave next to a hotel where I can connect to their wireless network. I guess I am getting the free access.
