Hello
I have a strange problem with my wireless LAN.

Accesspoint: Zyxel G-2000
Card in laptop: Zyxel G-162
Laptop: Compaq EVO N610c
OS: Windows XP SP2

My card keeps disconnecting/connecting to the accesspoint. The connection is up again after a few seconds, sometimes after 10-15 seconds.
If I start a ping -t to the accesspoint, the connection is kept alive and the card (or the laptop) does not disconnect, but as soon as I terminate the ping, the card or laptop starts to disconnect/connect again.

I have reached the conclusion, that the problem must be locally on my laptop or card, since I borrowed another laptop with build-in wireless and here there was no problem. I have tried to update the driver on the card, install the Zyxel client software and disable all powersaving features in the device manager, but nothing helps.

Please help!

Yes. My accesspoint was located close to the ground fault circuit interrupter in my flat. I moved the accesspoint and this helped.
