I've had my router for months and today after unplugging it for a minute or
two the wirelss has stopped working, any idea what the problem could be
i can still connect to my main pc, through a wire, from the router

This usually happens when any settings on the router change and has not
been restarted.
so something has changed on your router but did not come into effect as it
was not restarted,but when you unpugged ie restarted those changes came
into effect.
if you dont know what changes you have made,then you can try trouble
shooting the router by checking the router configuration and passwords or
set the router to factory default settings and then configure your network
again.
