Hi Group,

I am sorry if this has been asked before.
I don't need my computers to share files or anything. I just want my laptop downstairs and my desktop upstairs (both XP) to be able to connect via broadband without both of them being on. I have forgotten how my phone system is wired and the wires cannot be traced under the floorboards, which is why I am looking at Wi-FI
With BT Broadband I would get 2 filters and 1 modem free. Do they have to be binned to use Wi-Fi and how much will it cost to connect the 2 computers to Broadband via Wi-Fi and what do I need. I DO know were the phone line enters the house and to which box as it is in the loft. (if that information helps)

Best wishes

Dave
