Hi...I have set up a DLink router and card between my 2 computers which are a room apart 15 ft away. With Door open a pretty much a clear line of transmission. Techs gave up and told me to replace both but even after that still had same problem. Finally techs gave up and sad I had environment interference. I had disconnected my cordlees phone and no other radio device are operating. I am in a quiet area with no radio towers or transformers...anyone have a similar problem and a remedy...was going to try a different brand but want to get some advice first....Thanks,. Ron

You may want to try this. It seems to have solved similar problem

Here's the solution:

-Goto the D-link router configuration site (192.168.0.1)
-Click on the Advanced tab at the top, then click the Performance button on the left
-Change the Preamble setting to long (fourth item from the bottom of list)
-Wait for router to restart, close programs, and try to get on the internet
