ITU TELECOM AFRICA 2004, the 6th regional ITU TELECOM event in Africa

AFRICA 2004 will feature a high-level Forum, which will explore and debate areas central to the growth of the African telecommunication industry, such as the region’s expanding mobile market, or the management of internet resources. Invited participants include: H.E. Dr Ahmed Mahmoud Nazif, Minister for Communications and Information Technology (Egypt); Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, CEO, Dubai Internet City; Omar Kabbaj, President, African Development Bank; Alan Knott-Craig, CEO, Vodacom; Conny Kullman, CEO, Intelsat; and, Ernest Ndukwe, CEO, Nigerian Communications Commission.
The event will also feature an Exhibition, which will present the latest technologies and developments from across the spectrum of the telecommunication industry. Among the exhibitors will be top names such as Alcatel, Ericsson, ZTE and Samsung as well as a host of other global players and regional participants.
The theme of this event will be ‘Access Africa’ and its main objective will be to provide a platform for participants to access, explore and build upon the region’s untapped potential and shape its telecommunications industry of tomorrow.
