Verizon Wireless to Support Growth of Triton ATMs Across the Country

BEDMINSTER, NJ and BILOXI, MS -April 22, 2004 /Wi-Fi Technology News/- Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, and Triton?, the leading provider of ATMs for off-premise locations, announced that they have entered into an agreement where Verizon Wireless will support a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) option on Triton ATMs

The Verizon Wireless option will be offered on new ATMs, coming from the factory fully configured and tested, and as an upgrade to more than fifty thousand Triton ATMs installed across the United States that are using dial-up phone lines. Additionally, this option will be offered to those Triton customers currently running CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data), which is being phased out at the end of this year.

"Retailers and financial institutions of all sizes continue to turn to wireless to decrease their operating costs and reduce deployment times," said Brian Kett, president of Triton. "By offering Verizon Wireless' data network to our customers, we are providing a fast, secure, and cost-effective communications solution."

"Verizon Wireless is pleased to provide Triton extensive data network coverage that will allow them to mobilize and move ATM machines as business needs dictate while also improving their ROI on the processing of ATM transactions," said Cindy Patterson, vice president of enterprise data sales for Verizon Wireless. "This is a great opportunity for Verizon Wireless and helps solidify our company as the leader in the financial sector."
