Seanet Wi-Fi Service to be available on the Cometa Hotspot Network

Seanet Wi-Fi Service to be available on the Cometa Hotspot Network

SEATTLE & CHICAGO - April 29, 2004 /Wi-Fi Technology News/-Seanet and Cometa Networks announced an agreement to expand the Seanet connectivity product portfolio to include Wi-Fi Service at all Cometa Hotspots nationwide.

The deal will create a true "bundled" offer of public Wi-Fi as an optional feature to Seanet customers using Seanet's high-speed broadband internet service, or as a standalone service. Seanet's Wi-Fi Service will be available at Cometa Hotspot locations across the country. By September 2004, Cometa Hotspots will be available at 650 Barnes & Noble bookstores, and other attractive community-centric venues including coffee shops, restaurants, shopping centers, and commercial office buildings.

By adding the Cometa Hotspot Network as the core of its Wi-Fi Service rollout, Seanet continues to expand the flexibility of its product line and its value to business and consumers throughout urban communities. In addition to Wi-Fi Service, Seanet Services include Residential and Business Broadband Services and a variety of other connection services.

"Whether using Wi-Fi in a local hotspot or our residential or enterprise broadband service, Seanet customers can stay connected to their critical personal and corporate information while away from the office or home," said Richard Campbell, CFO of Seanet. "By positioning Wi-Fi as a feature option on our customer's monthly bill, we lead the Wi-Fi industry in making it easy for customers to extend their broadband service wirelessly, with the convenience of still using their Seanet username and password."

"Cometa Networks is very excited about Seanet's bolt-on offer and integrated bill," said Gary Weis, CEO of Cometa. "We believe Public Wi-Fi is a natural complement to Seanet's other services. By partnering with us, Seanet is able to add to the richness and convenience of Public Wi-Fi to their portfolio for their customers, with a minimum of effort and development. Our nationwide expansion suits Seanet's interest in creating a compelling and convenient national Wi-Fi offer."
