PIKA Technologies Announces Voice/Fax/VoIP Card For The European Market

PIKA InLine MM PCI delivers low-density voice, fax and VoIP capabilities to software vendors developing applications for the European market

Ottawa, Canada -/July 6, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- PIKA Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce availability of the Euro version PIKA InLine MM PCI analog-interface voice/fax/VoIP card. The InLine card supports PIKA Technologies? latest and greatest software development kit, PIKA MonteCarlo 6.2, which transparently supports Windows and Linux development environments.

The innovative PIKA InLine cards are a cost effective choice for software vendors developing low-density converged messaging applications for the European market.

PIKA InLine MM is a highly flexible 4-port, half-length analog trunk card with a PCI interface. The innovative architecture allows developers to select a 3-line plus headset configuration or a 4-line configuration and to run voice, fax, or VOIP on any line, depending on the needs of their specific application. MonteCarlo 6.2 delivers software support for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003, Linux Red Hat 7.3 and SuSE 9.0. The card is a cost effective choice to support converged messaging needs.

?Our search for a reasonably priced voice card for a VoIP application lead us to PIKA Technologies,? said Uwe Sauerbrey, CTO, Swyx Solutions GmbH. ?Designing the InLine MM into our host-based IP-PBX, called SwyxWare, went smoothly. PIKA Technologies? knowledgeable technical support specialists were extremely responsive which helped to decrease our porting time.?

?The new Euro version of PIKA InLine MM meets the demand for Windows and Linux-supported computer telephony cards with converged messaging capabilities for Europe,? said Maarten Kronenburg, Commercial Manager EMEA, PIKA Technologies Europe BV. ?It is a cost effective card that allows developers to work in either a Windows or Linux environment to build low-density, truely converged, computer telephony applications.?

PIKA InLine MM PCI cards are available immediately in both North American and European versions. Operating systems supported include Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003, Red Hat 7.3 and SuSE 9.0 distributions of Linux.
