Interlink Networks Partners with Cluster Labs to Provide Wireless LAN HotSpot Appliance; Secure.XS Wireless LAN Security Software Bundled into Server Solution
ANN ARBOR, Mich.---/Wi-Fi Technology News/---May 29, 2003--Interlink Networks, a leading developer of network security and access control software, today announced that its Secure.XS Wireless LAN Security Software has been integrated by Cluster Labs (http://www.cluster-labs.com) into its Internet PassPort (TM) appliance -- a complete, affordable Internet hotspot network solution for public network operators and service providers.
Secure.XS provides the RADIUS-based user AAA (authentication, authorization, and accounting) services to the Internet PassPort server for controlling 802.1x wireless LAN network access and securing connections. The Internet PassPort solution includes a high availability Linux-based blade server with redundant power supply, hard disk drive, the RADIUS-based wireless LAN hotspot controller, SQL database, and a LDAP directory server -- all bundled into a small 19" enclosure.
Wireless Internet service providers need flexible billing and reporting functions, and the Internet PassPort solution delivers on this. Options include pre-paid, time-based vouchers (e.g. daily), and subscription/flat rate plans. The Internet PassPort is ideal for hotspot access control in hotels, airports, gas stations, shopping malls, and public areas.
Interlink Networks' products -- including the Secure.XS Wireless LAN Security Software and RAD-Series RADIUS Servers -- are the industry's leading RADIUS-based network access control solutions that support numerous EAP authentication methods (including Cisco's LEAP) on the Linux platform. Interlink also supports the Windows and Solaris operating systems.
