Experienced Industry Leader Joins Bluesocket?s Board of Directors
Bluesocket Names Ralph Calistri Chief Executive Officer
BURLINGTON, Mass. -/August 24, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Bluesocket, Inc. (www.bluesocket.com), the leading vendor of products that secure and manage Wi-Fi networks, today named industry veteran Ralph Calistri as its Chief Executive Officer and as a Director on its Board.
?We are delighted to have Ralph Calistri bring his 20+ years of industry experience to Bluesocket,? said Executive Chairman, Peter J. Smith. ?His leadership skills have been honed by years of outstanding experience ranging from management positions at larger companies such as Nortel Networks where he served as vice president and general manager of its Cogent Division to executive positions at smaller successful technology start-ups.?
Calistri brings extensive experience in software and Internet infrastructure to Bluesocket. He has led successful start-ups and is a veteran of some of the world?s most well-known and successful technology companies including Nortel Networks, Bay Networks, Digital Equipment Corporation and Xerox.
Most recently Calistri served as CEO of Flamenco Networks, a leading provider of Web Services network infrastructure based in Atlanta, GA. Prior to that, he was CEO of Remoteability, Inc., and in 2000, he was CEO of PixStream Video Networking, where he managed the organization?s growth and its subsequent acquisition by Cisco Systems.
Calistri has a Bachelor?s degree in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Biology from Richmond College, earned his Masters in Psychology at Long Island University and has completed work towards a PhD in Psychology at Stevens Institute.
