BOINGO TO ADD WI-FI HOTSPOTS IN MEXICO WITH TELMEX

More than 250 hotspots in 20 airports and 40 cities in Mexico join Boingo network

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -/13 September, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Boingo Wireless today announced it has added more than 250 live hotspots in Mexico City and key resort cities throughout Mexico to the Boingo Roaming System through an agreement with Prodigy M?vil, the Wi-Fi and Internet subsidiary of Telmex.

The sites include more than 20 airports in Mexico as well as hotels, malls, restaurants and other locations throughout Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara, and other key business travel cities in Mexico. In addition, key resort cities such as Acapulco, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta are also included. The sites are now integrated into the Boingo Roaming System and accessible to users of the Boingo service and users of selected Platform Services partners.

"This agreement allows us to blanket the biggest business city and the top tourist destinations in Mexico with hotspots, which means our customers can now travel 'wirelessly' in the country with all of the convenience they expect from Boingo," said Dave Hagan, Boingo president and COO. "We appreciate the professionalism of the Prodigy M?vil team, especially how they have worked diligently to deliver a top quality Wi-Fi experience for our customers."

"We are glad to have this type of negotiation with Boingo, because it will let Boingo's clients that travel to Mexico have access into our Prodigy M?vil Wi-Fi hotspots. Telmex's investment of more than $2.5 billion in M?xico lets us offer a great variety of world-class telecommunications services based on advanced technology," said Andres Vazquez del Mercado, Telmex executive vice president of investments and strategic development.

The roaming agreement is part of Boingo's strategy to expand its international Wi-Fi network as it responds to its customer's needs for high-speed wireless Internet access wherever they travel. The company's global network includes more than 9,000 hotspots including approximately 6,300 in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Boingo combines this extensive network along with its back-office infrastructure for roaming, billing and technical support, and the industry's easiest to use client software, into its Platform Services offering which allows service providers to deliver branded Wi-Fi services to their customers. The company has announced Platform Services relationships with EarthLink, Fiberlink Communications, Infonet Services Corp., MCI and Telecom Italia.
