    REDWOOD SHORES, CALIF. -/20 September, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS) announced that the Ford Motor Company has extended an agreement to use iPass Corporate Access? services for secure, global connectivity. Using the simple and intuitive iPassConnect? client installed on their laptops, Ford Motor Company employees access their corporate network and the Internet simply and securely while on the road.



    iPassConnect requires just a single username and password to open the door to six different connection options in more than 150 countries, as well as to a user's VPN and endpoint security systems.

    iPass is known as a leader in its field, offering one of the largest footprints of wired broadband service, as well as dial-up Internet, ISDN, GSM and PHS (a 2.5 G service in Asia). It also stakes its claim as the world's largest Wi-Fi network, with over 11,000 active hotspots.
