Network Test?s methodology for this project assesses audio quality, QoS (Quality of Service) enforcement, and client roaming capabilities. Testers will use VeriWave?s VoIP Analysis Test Suite to measure key values for VoIP traffic, such as R-value (an ITU standard for voice quality measurement), delay, and jitter. In addition, the WaveTest system generates background test traffic, including error injection to simulate real-world traffic conditions. With its support of test automation, the WaveTest system ensures repeatable results and substantially reduces testing time.

The WaveTest Traffic Generator/Performance Analyzer is the industry?s only product devoted to testing the unique features of WLAN devices, providing unprecedented insight into the performance of the network being tested, with high-precision accuracy achieved through the use of a custom MAC. The test setup is expandable from one to multi-point tests for evaluation of complex scenarios such as Hidden Node, Multiple BSS, and interference, while maintaining microsecond synchronization.
