    Roving Planet Appoints Former MeshNetworks CEO Masood Garahi As Chief Technology Officer




    WESTMINSTER, CO -/12 Nov, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Roving Planet, the leading provider of integrated wireless LAN security and management software solutions that accelerate enterprise-wide Wi-Fi deployments, announced it has appointed Masood Garahi as the Company?s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his role as CTO, Mr. Garahi will be responsible for developing technology roadmaps for Roving Planet and ensuring the Company maintains its reputation for customer responsiveness and the timely delivery of cutting-edge wireless LAN software solutions.

    ?I am very pleased to welcome Masood to the Roving Planet management team,? stated Greg Mesch, president and CEO, Roving Planet. ?Masood has over 20 years? experience in the telecommunications and networking industries and brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to our organization. His appointment as CTO will greatly enhance our ability to deliver cutting-edge wireless LAN security and management software solutions in a fast-paced and highly-competitive market space.?

    Before joining Roving Planet, Mr. Garahi served as CEO of MeshNetworks, a successful state-of-the-art networking company he founded in Orlando, Florida. As one of the founding members of 802.11S group, MeshNetworks has become one of the leading companies in the P2P, self-forming and self-healing wireless QDMA / 802.11 space.

    Prior to MeshNetworks, Mr. Garahi served in a variety of leadership positions, including Chief Technology Officer at TV Guide, where he helped launch the first interactive television products in 11 states; and Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for SkyTel/MCI, an international paging company with services in 22 countries. He also held several posts at the Institute for Technology Development (ITD).

    Mr. Garahi has chaired and participated in several technical and regulatory telecommunications committees, holds more than a dozen patents in computer and telecommunications technology and has published several articles on telecommunications and PCS-related subjects. He was named one of the ?Top 50 Technology CEO?s? in Scientific American Magazine in 2002.
