    -/24 Jan, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Cambridge Broadband has appointed Theo Wegbrans as Executive Vice President - Sales to lead the company through its next growth phase.



    Cambridge Broadband is seeing demand for the VectaStar product increasing across new market sectors including transmission services predominately to alleviate the growing backhaul crisis as cellular networks expand. Theo will lead Cambridge Broadband?s growing sales success, and be responsible for worldwide sales initiatives and expanding Cambridge Broadband?s presence through strategic partnerships and key accounts.

    Theo joins Cambridge Broadband from IPWireless, where, under his control as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, the company achieved more operator deployments than any of its competitors. Prior to IPWireless, Theo held positions of Vice President, Northern European Operations at Cisco, Vice President, EMEA for Digital Equipment and President, EMEA for NeXT Computer Inc.
