Popular D-Link routers to ship with Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12 to help protect against viruses, hackers, spam, and spyware.


London, -/1 March, 2005 - The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- D-Link, the leading global manufacturer of broadband, wireless and networking solutions to the SOHO, SMB and Enterprise environments, and Trend Micro, world leading server-based anti-virus vendor, today announced that a selection of D-Link products will be bundled with a 3 month free trial of Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12. By providing PC-cillin Internet Security 12 with the purchase of select D-Link products, home and small office customers can benefit from increased security.

Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12 is the first personal Internet security solution specifically designed to extend desktop security to home and wireless networks. Installed at the PC, this software combines leading anti-virus technology with personal firewall to provide comprehensive protection against computer viruses, worms, and Trojans, and also blocks hackers, detects spyware and filters spam. The Wi-Fi Intrusion Detection feature alerts users when unknown users intrude on the wireless network. All PCs on the home network can be easily configured and updated.

The partnership will launch on 1 March across Europe and applicable products included are the D-Link DI-624, DI-624+ and DWL-G730AP. Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12 will be offered in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish languages. In addition to the 3 months free trial offered within the box, D-Link customers will enjoy a discount on the annual subscription to the Trend Micro package.
