    Austria Based Symena Wins Technology Award In ZIT Sponsored Competition



    Success underlines the viability of Symena?s technology

    VIENNA, Austria-/23 March, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/-Symena was awarded the first prize in the ZIT (zentrum f?r innovation und technologie gmbh) sponsored competition, ?Call IKT Vienna 2004.? Symena?s entry underpins the continued development of its core optimisation technology. Call IKT Vienna 2004 provides matched funding for information, communications and technology research and development projects that will benefit the economic development of the city of Vienna. Funding of ?2.2 million to a maximum of ?500,000 for a single project was granted to 17 projects from a total of more than 60 entries. Symena was awarded the main prize in recognition of the quality of its entry and prospects.



    The Call IKT Vienna judging panel makes its recommendations based on:

    ? The level of innovation in the project;
    ? The economic impact of the project on the City of Vienna;
    ? The likelihood of success; and
    ? The financial viability of the entry.

    The distinguished jury included expertise from venture capital, technology consulting and academia.
