Radionet Delivers Wi-Fi Wireless Broadband To University of Coruna

A Coru?a, Spain, -/04 April, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Radionet Ltd, a leading supplier of Wireless Hotzone technology, has delivered a Wi-Fi wireless broadband network to the University of A Coru?a. The network was designed and installed by Radionet?s spanish partner Colabora Ingenieros. The network covers both indoor and outdoor areas in the whole campus and brings internet connections also to facilities that otherwise would not have access to the Internet.

Radionet?s technology creates a Wireless Hotzone, which connects campus area facilities to the Unitersity internal network with a 54 Mbps speed. Thanks to the new network, users anywhere in the campus area can enjoy wireless connections to various network services offered by the University.

?The network is based on Radionet?s equipment which is designed for robust outdoor use. This includes being able withstand temperatures from ?45 to +55?C and relative humidity up to 90 per cent. In order to guarantee reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions, the equipment utilizes industrial class components and the IP65 watertight covers,? said Ferm?n Rodriguez Campos, project manager, Colabora Ingenieros.

Radionet?s technology brings versatility to the network design as the same equipment can be configured both for independent connections as well as for creating a coverage zone.

?The network of the University of A Coru?a illustrates how Wireless Hotzone technology can be utilized to bring internet connections to large areas effortlessly and with low total costs,? said Markus Bj?rkqvist, VP, Sales and Marketing, Radionet.
