D-Link Launches Partner+, A New Channel Partner Programme
Partners achieve recognition based on competence and benefit from competitive margins, bid-support, training and focused marketing initiatives
LONDON -/September 6, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- D-Link, the leading provider of networking and communication solutions to the consumer, SMB and enterprise markets, has emphasised its channel commitment with the launch of a new channel partner programme, Partner+. D-Link Partner+ is designed to provide greater levels of training and support, as well as more competitive margins for D-Link’s value added resellers and system integrators.
The programme also offers a viable migration path for competitors’ partners looking for a profitable alternative to their existing vendor.
Partner+ clearly differentiates itself from competitive programs by employing an untiered structure, thereby supporting those partners that have the greatest expertise and can therefore offer the best service to the end-customer. The programme is clearly defined to support D-Link’s strategy in Europe and focus on market areas that will offer Partner+ partners the greatest opportunities for growth in both revenue and profits in the years to come, such as managed switching and security.
“Our channel partners are key to our continuing success in Europe,” says Kevin Wen, President of D-Link Europe. “Partner+ was designed with our partners’ business requirements in mind, ensuring they receive the right level of support, technical training and access to product solutions. Recognising our partners according to their competence ensures high quality service for the end-customer and subsequently higher profits for the partners’ businesses” concludes Wen.
Partner+ was pre-launched in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in May 2005 and has since had a sign-up of more than 60 value added resellers and system integrators.
“We decided to join Partner+ to enable us to offer our customers an alternative solution to the market leader and D-Link allows us to do so, offering greater price effectiveness without compromising on quality and support ” says Timo Graser, Sales Engineer [s.i.g.] system informations, Germany. “We were attracted by the fair program structure which recognises expertise over company size and the possibility to earn high margins,” concludes Graser.
Partner+ members will benefit from:
• Support and service – including sales support, bid desk support, marketing funding and quarterly rebates based on achievement of agreed sales targets
• Training and certification – locally run certification courses in switching, security and wireless
• Access to a D-Link marketing toolbox via a secure partner extranet – including presentations on major technologies, data sheets, white papers, product comparisons and marketing templates
Partner+ is being launched alongside xStack, an integrated campaign launching D-Link’s managed switch range aimed at the enterprise market (see separate release: D-Link introduces xSTACK – the Enterprise switching range that multiplies the benefits of networking).
“We have ambitious plans for Partner+ and the roll-out of the programme across Europe by January 2006 will strengthen the support D-Link can offer to its partners. D-Link will continue to not only support our partners through the benefits the program offers, but also ensure that our marketing strategy supports their efforts,” concludes Wen.
