CommunicAsia2006 To Be The Largest Event For Digital Technologies

CommunicAsia2006 Expected To Be The Largest Ever

Showcasing of new technologies and partnering with EnterpriseIT and BroadcastAsia makes event unique in digital technology spread

-/November 28, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Next year's CommunicAsia exhibition in Singapore (June 20-23) is set to be not only Asia's most elevant, comprehensive and important information and communications technology (ICT) event, but a show of truly world-class proportions across a massive range of digital technologies.

Showcasing developments at the cutting edge of commercialisation, visitors to CommunicAsia can expect to see IPTV, 3G, VOIP, WiMAX, NGN, embedded technologies and smartcard technology on the show floor.

Speaking on the event, Mr Victor Wong, project director of CommunicAsia2006, said, "CommunicAsia is where the business of technology comes to life; at the exhibition you will see the applications of the various emerging technologies as they cross the threshold from R&D into commercialisation."

Besides being the most relevant event to Asia's ICT market, CommunicAsia also holds a unique position in being the most comprehensive event of its kind as it partners BroadcastAsia and EnterpriseIT in showcasing the broad spectrum of digital technologies that cut across the value chain of the communications, broadcasting and the enterprise solutions arena.

BroadcastAsia is Asia's preferred marketplace for broadcasting. For 2006, the exhibition will highlight the latest developments from broadcasting to handheld devices, video on demand, personal video recording, digital audio, tapeless technology and computer graphics and animation.

EnterpriseIT, Asia's only dedicated exhibition for enterprise technology, this year will feature the latest in web services, business intelligence, security management, outsourcing services, and other innovative solutions.
Together, the three events will offer an exceptional offering as it meets the converging streams of information technology and communications, of mobile entertainment and telecoms services, and of business needs and the digital lifestyle. CommunicAsia, EnterpriseIT and BroadcastAsia are key components of the five-day Infocomm Media Business Exchange (imbX) which is held annually in Singapore in the month of June.

Entrenching CommunicAsia's status as the leading ICT showcase in Asia, the top names in mobile and satellite communications, network solutions and network power, have already signalled their return to the event in 2006. These include Huawei, ZTE, Samsung, LG, Emerson, Inmarsat, Intelsat, Harmonic, NTT DoCoMo, Gemplus, Irdeto, SES Americom and Shin Satellite.

Christian Trieflinger, Exhibition Manager of Siemens AG, said, "CommunicAsia has been one of the most important exhibitions in telecommunication and network engineering in Asia for the last 10 years of Siemens Communications. As a consequence thereof we are able to address all our customers and potential buyers of South East Asia and the Pacific region and are therefore able to introduce our various portfolio of innovative products, solutions and services."

Twenty group pavilions are expected to return to CommunicAsia2006, including Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and the USA.

Over 1,400 companies and 47,000 business professionals gathered at CommunicAsia this year to network, exchange ideas and negotiate business deals.
