First Mobile VoiP Application Optimized for Smartphones and PDAs

SIPquest Mobile Console Optimized for Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Dual-Mode Devices (CDMA & Wi-Fi and GSM & Wi-Fi)

Ottawa, Canada -/January 31, 2006 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- SIPquest announced that the Mobile Console application is the first VoIP application optimized for Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, the world's newest operating system that supports dual-mode (CMDA & Wi-Fi and GSM & Wi-Fi) for smartphones and PDA devices.

Instat forecasts that the user community of dual-mode devices will grow to 96 million people by 2008 from five million expected in 2006.

The Mobile Console application delivers personal command and control of communications services over Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and GSM or Wi-Fi and CDMA network interfaces. Its single GUI and support for unified numbering consolidates both Wi-Fi and cellular identities to provide a seamless end-user experience. The "Network Aware" feature detects and recommends network connectivity to allow users to place and receive a call over the best available network - Wi-Fi or cellular - optimizing for lowest cost, highest call quality or user preference.

"We have a track record of supporting innovative operating systems such Windows Mobile and are proud to be the first VoIP application to support Version 5.0," said David Hattey, president and CEO of SIPquest. "The combination of Mobile Console's personal command and control capabilities with Mobile 5.0's productivity features makes for a highly attractive productivity tool for enterprise mobile workers."

Mobile Console's support for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices will be demonstrated at the 3GSM Conference in Barcelona Spain from February 13-16, 2006 in booth #G120. It interoperates with the leading IP PBXs and softswitches and is available for sale through OEM partners and mobile operators.
