Cisco's CRS-1 Core Routing Platform Selected by MTS Allstream
Internet Protocol Next Generation Network to provide increased scalability and carrier-class functionality
TORONTO, ONTARIO, -/February 9, 2006 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Cisco Systems® today announced that MTS Allstream has selected the Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System to further enhance its national IP/MPLS backbone network and drive the company's expansion of next generation services.
A core component of the Cisco Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN), the Cisco CRS-1 will enable MTS Allstream to further evolve its network to the next level of converged IP networking capabilities to support its full suite of IP services.

The platform received an InfoVision Award in the "Network Core Innovation and Advances" category from the International Engineering Consortium in October last year.
