BVS Offers RF & Wi-Fi Product Training Sessions in NJ
METUCHEN, New Jersey. -/April 10, 2006 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc., the leader in 802.11 Wi-Fi & RF propagation analysis test equipment, announces training sessions for both BVS RF and Wi-Fi tools.
Berkeley Varitronics Systems invites both customers and RF / Wi-Fi enthusiasts to participate in 2 full day, hands-on training sessions featuring BVS RF spectrum analyzers on day one and BVS Wi-Fi hardware / software on day two. BVS engineering and sales staff step attendees through various RF spectrum analysis operations using the BumbleBee™ on June 15th and Wi-Fi studies using Yellowjacket® & Hive™ on June 16th. Both sessions will take place in Edison, NJ at the Clarion Hotel.
BumbleBee RF Training (June 15th) Includes:
• Why, when and where to use a spectrum analyzer
• Mechanical layout, accessories and startup
• HP iPAQ tips when used with BumbleBee
• Operational features review (presets, displays, markers, triggers, interference ID, logging, JPEG snapshots)
Yellowjacket/Hive Wi-Fi Training (June 16th) Includes:
• Yellowjacket 802.11b/g mechanical layout, accessories and startup
• HP iPAQ tips when used with a Yellowjacket receiver
• Operational features review (RF Spectrum Analyzer modes, AP/Client Survey modes, WISP Antenna Alignment mode, MAC Security mode and Network Utilization mode, Data logging, Marker feature, JPEG screen snapshot, RF Direction Finding techniques for locating rogue APs and clients)
• Hive 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Mapping Software (creating floorplans, taking measurements and analyzing the measured results to create color-coded reports for signal coverage, overlap, path, etc.)
Upon completing the training, attendees can expect to receive their BVS Training Certification. Each training day includes hands-on experience with the latest wireless test gear, technical presentations in print, CD and DVD, morning coffee, refreshments, lunch and more.
