Nomad Digital Appoints T-Mobile Wi-Fi Guru and Expands Across Asia
LONDON -/January 17, 2007 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Nomad Digital, providers of specialist mobility networks, announced the appointment of Jay Saw as Chief Commercial Officer, to focus on global business development and strategic partnerships. Jay brings a wealth of wireless knowledge and experience from his previous position as manager of T-Mobile’s HotSpot network and was instrumental in the development of T-Mobile’s pioneering Wi-Fi coverage on trains and airports.

Jay’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Nomad. Prestigious contract wins in 2006 with Virgin Trains and the Heathrow Express providing Wi-Fi networks on board trains is further establishing Nomad’s UK’s Wi-Fi expansion. 2007 will see the opening of Nomad’s global headquarters in Newcastle (UK) and expansion to Asia, with the appointment of Xiang Bo in China, to drive sales and development in the region.
Jay’s announcement and expansion of its global footprint is validating Nomad as a real contender in the exciting and growing wireless market. It is pushing the boundaries of current Wi-Fi use, ensuring seamless broadband connection at all times and offering not only data communications services but advanced security applications and improved travel infrastructure. Its innovative mobile communication system links the train to trackside wireless base stations, with radios located every few miles along the route for a reliable and seamless broadband connection to the internet.
