BROADBAND CENTRAL NAMES BART SAXEY AS NEW PRESIDENT
Long-time IT industry executive to helm Utah's largest wireless Internet service provider
DRAPER, Utah - July 15, 2003 - Bart Saxey has been named as president of Broadband Central, a company which is quickly becoming one of the largest providers of high-speed wireless Internet services in the western United States.
Saxey's background includes more than 24 years of business administration and executive leadership experience in operational management, business modeling and the information technology (IT) industry. He most recently served as director of operations for Broadband Central.
"Bart is without a doubt the most qualified individual I know to take over this role at such an important time of growth in our company's history," said Tali Haleua, co-founder and chief executive officer of Broadband Central. "He drives for results and is focused on continuing the success that Broadband Central has already begun to experience. He has proven his business acumen repeatedly through a fine career as an IT executive and successful entrepreneur."
Prior to joining Broadband Central, Saxey coordinated and launched MicroSkills, the nation's most successful technical training center. At MicroSkills Saxey utilized his knowledge of innovational operational procedures to generate sales of more than $1 million in revenues per month during MicroSkills' startup stages. In recognition of his contributions to MicroSkills and in light of the company's growth and performance, Saxey was elected to serve on Microsoft Corporation's Certified Technical Education Center (CTEC) advisory board.
Additionally, he was also asked to participate on the Novell Authorized Education Center (NAEC) Committee and was one of only three recognized award-winners of Novell's coveted Global Audrey Award in 2001.
"This opportunity presents a thrilling chance to become even more involved with a company that is quickly becoming a major player in the wireless broadband industry," Saxey said. "Broadband Central is growing to be well-known for its proprietary technology and unique business model, but by far its greatest assets are the people who work here. I look forward to continuing to work with this stellar team in giving a wholehearted effort that will help take us to the very top."
Haleua previously served as company president, and he remains Broadband Central's CEO and chairman.
