ip.access takes its place in the Top 100 UK Technology Companies

Cambridge, UK-/Wi-Fi Technology News/- ip.access, the market leader in picocell and femtocell technologies, today announced that it has been named as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK, according to the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100.
Now in its seventh year, The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 ranks Britain’s fastest-growing private technology companies based on their 2004-2006 sales growth. It placed ip.access 52nd in the nationwide league table.

ip.access’ nanoGSM® solution is the world's most deployed picocell. It helps mobile network operators improve coverage and capacity for enterprises, SMEs and public spaces. The recently launched Oyster 3G femtocell extends these benefits into the home.

Commenting on the news, Stephen Mallinson, CEO of ip.access, said, “To be placed 52nd in the league table is a major achievement for a company of our size and is testament to the commitment and huge amount of work that we have put into making ip.access the market leader for picocells and femtocells. ip.access counts as customers 28 mobile network operators around the world who have deployed our picocells in their networks. Our new Oyster 3G femtocells are also beginning operator trials. The strength of our products and the expertise of our team, together with the very real commercial need for both picocells and femtocells to improve mobile phone coverage and increase network capacity, means that we are the partner of choice for any network operator wanting to compete in the converged telecoms marketplace.”

The inclusion of ip.access in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 is the latest notable achievement in what has already been a very successful year for the company. In February, the company won a prestigious GSM Association award for its Oyster 3G femtocell home access product. In addition, the Oyster 3G has recently been shortlisted for Best Technology Foresight in the widely-respected World Communications Awards.
