New WeFi Version For Android Will Increase Users Wi-Fi Hotspots Access Worldwide

New WeFi Version For Android Will Increase Users Wi-Fi Hotspots Access Worldwide

Delaware, USA-/Wi-Fi Technology News/- WeFi Inc., creator of the world’s largest community-based global Wi-Fi network, announced today the launch of a version of its free software on the Android mobile operating system, offering users automatic access to the best Wi-Fi connection available.

WeFi’s software launch on Android is further proof of WeFi leading the way in providing quick and easy Wi-Fi access to users around the world.

“The launch of WeFi on Android demonstrates our commitment to creating a truly seamless Wi-Fi experience,” said Zur Feldman, CEO of WeFi. “Thanks to WeFi, the growing number of Android users around the world can now forget about a long and complicated manual search for a Wi-Fi hotspot, and benefit from a simple one-step process to launch any application, wherever they are.”

Users can download the free WeFi software either directly from the WeFi website or by searching for WeFi in Android Market on their Android phone - WeFi is listed under “Applications / Communication”.

WeFi is effectively making mobile Internet connection fast and easy-to-use for Android users. As opposed to the tedious, multi-step process of manually opening a browser, searching for a Wi-Fi hotspot, and then sorting through those that cost money, require a password or are low-quality connections, and then entering your destination, WeFi automatically connects the user to the best connection available. If the connection is lost, WeFi will automatically reconnect to another available open Wi-Fi hotspot.

Being that WeFi is a community-generated network, with many of the access points provided by the users themselves, if the open hotspot detected was previously unknown to the network it is then added for future users to automatically connect to when they are in the area. WeFi always seeks to connect users to Wi-Fi access points where Internet access has already been verified by other WeFi-enabled devices – dubbed “community-verified spots” - in a growing network of over 21 million access points recorded.

After having established itself as a leader in bringing open Wi-Fi hotspots to people around the world, WeFi is now increasingly penetrating the mobile market with this latest feature on Android, in addition to previously released versions available to Symbian and Windows Mobile users. WeFi also has versions for Windows and Mac as well.
