TOSHIBA SHIPS MEDIA CENTER NOTEBOOK PC WITH A 17.0" WIDE-SCREEN DISPLAY

The Satellite? P25-S607 is Toshiba's first 17.0" wide-screen notebook with Microsoft? Windows? XP Media Center Edition, extending the company's leadership in home entertainment computing

IRVINE, Calif., July 21, 2003 ? Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG) today announced the Satellite? P25-S607 notebook PC combining a 17.0" diagonal wide-screen (1440 x 900) display and television recording functionality to create a central home entertainment media console. The wireless-enabled Satellite? P25-S607 will be available later this month for $2,799.

Draped in a unique, eye-catching blue design while integrating DVD, CD and television functionality, the Satellite? P25-S607 is a welcome addition to any college dorm room, home office or living room setting. Powered by the Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, users can record their favorite television programs for later viewing, store and access digital media and play DVDs directly from the notebook for a personal theater experience.

Offering a full array of multimedia features, the Satellite? P25-S607 includes a built-in DVD-Multi drive allowing users to burn CDs and DVDs and act as a second hard drive to store critical data. Complementing the 17.0" diagonal wide-screen display, the notebook features the NVIDIA? GeForce? FX Go5200 graphics processing unit delivering breakthrough 3D imagery and rich color texture. Two harman/kardon? stereo speakers are also included enhancing audio/video playback and computer gaming.

(IEEE 802.11a/b) wireless connectivity, Satellite? P25-S607 customers with a wireless home network can enjoy the flexibility of wireless Internet access from any room in the home.

ConfigFree? Software Takes the Hassle out of Wireless Connections
The Satellite? P25-S607 ships standard with Toshiba's own uniquely designed ConfigFree software which allows easy control of communication devices and Wi-Fi connections. It enables the end user to find communications problems, offers the user suggestions and also creates profiles for easy switching between locations and communication networks.
