Membership in Wi-Fi Testing Organization Demonstrates Leadership and Commitment to the Market

(NYSE: SY), today announced that it has joined the Wi-Fi Alliance, a non-profit organization formed to consolidate wireless LAN standards. By joining the Alliance, Sybase?the leading provider of software for the unwired enterprise?deepens its involvement in the Wi-Fi market and takes an active role in the establishment of industry-wide standards and product interoperability. As one of the first enterprise software providers to join the Alliance, Sybase?s membership highlights the importance of software as well as hardware in enabling successful Wi-Fi solutions.
