Boingo Wireless and Intel agree to promote Wi-Fi hot spots for travelers

From wirelessweek

Boingo Wireless and Intel announced an agreement today to promote the use of Wi-Fi hot spots for business travelers.

The two companies said they will post new signage at Boingo hot spots around the country with the disclosure that it is verified to work with Intel's new Centrino Wi-Fi platform. Boingo is a hot spot aggregator with about 1,200 locations. According to Boingo, some 27 million business travelers carry laptops, many of them with Wi-Fi built in, and are a key market for Wi-Fi hot spots.

The Wi-Fi Alliance has its own program to identify Wi-Fi hot spots around the country under its logo, although providers like Boingo and T-Mobile/Starbucks are using only their own brands.
