Free Wi-Fi Trial Available at Thousands of Hotspots on 'One Unwired Day,'

Mobile PC users can enjoy a free trial of public wireless Internet access at thousands of public Wi-Fi hotspot locations across the United States on Sept. 25 through an event named "One Unwired Day."
One Unwired Day is designed to show businesspeople and consumers the immediate benefits of the unwired lifestyle, encourage them to try Wi-Fi services free of charge and provide opportunities to try notebook PCs based on Intel? CentrinoTM mobile technology.
The location of hotspots offering free trial Wi-Fi access on Sept. 25 is available at www.intel.com/unwire. The Web site also suggests "cool things to do unwired," including accessing exclusive music and video from Barenaked Ladies, Seal and R.E.M., downloading the September issue of Business 2.0, and playing games offered free by Sony Pictures' "On the Go."
Free trial Wi-Fi access will also be available at One Unwired Day festivals in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, and events in Seattle. The festivals will feature live concerts as well as product demonstrations and prize packages including notebook PCs based on Intel Centrino mobile technology, T-Mobile and Surf Here by Toshiba Wi-Fi service subscriptions, wireless home networking products from Linksys and Wayport wireless access cards.
The festivals will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at South Street Seaport in New York, North Riverside Plaza in Chicago and Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco. The event in Seattle, hosted by Cometa Networks, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at University Village. More information about concert artists and times are available at http://www.intel.com/unwire.
