D-LINK AND TWEETER HOME ENTERTAINMENT GROUP FORM STRATEGIC ALLIANCE TO BRING HOME NETWORKING SOLUTIONS TO CONSUMERS
Irvine, CA, September 26, 2003 — D-Link, the worldwide leader in the design and development of Broadband networking and digital technologies, announced today a strategic relationship with Tweeter Home Entertainment Group (NASDAQ: TWTR), the nation's premier specialty consumer electronics retailer. D-Link will now provide networking products and solutions to Tweeter Home Entertainment Group customers at 175 Tweeter, HiFi Buys, Sound Advice, Hillcrest High Fidelity, Showcase and Bang & Olufsen locations.
Together, D-Link and Tweeter will extend the home networking experience beyond its current realm. Among the list of solutions this networking initiative will bring is an extension of Wi-Fi and networking capable consumer electronics products, for remote control, audio, video and computing installed anywhere in the home, allowing consumers easy and convenient wired and wireless access of content through an 802.11 "Wi-Fi" transmission.
