ALPHAMOSAIC AND VITEC DEVELOP A/V PORTABLE RECEIVERS WHICH CAN RECEIVE DIGITAL RADIO BROADCASTING FROM TOKYO FM AND OTHER DIGITAL BROADCASTING COMPANIES

Tokyo Japan– October, 2003 – Alphamosaic, TOKYO FM and Vitec announced today that they will be working together to produce the technology behind handsets which will deliver digital radio and multimedia to people on the move.
TOKYO FM, the leading broadcaster in Japan with millions of listeners, will be launching a terrestrial digital radio broadcast this October, which will transmit audio, video and data contents over the VHF channel, giving superb performance whilst on the move. Alphamosaic, the industry leader in video for the mobile world, has developed a processor which enables a full suite of multimedia applications including video streaming. The processor, which is based on VideoCore technology, offers the highest quality and lowest power video processing in the world.

Vitec are developing hardware design, software developing, and total integration for mobile receivers. This reference design allows all mobile manufacturers to easily add the digital A/V receiving features to most mobile products. The target products are mobile phones, PDAs, DSCs, Portable AV players and digital A/V receivers.
