Texas Instruments White Paper addresses interoperability performance within the DSL, cable, 802.11 and VoIP markets
Sheffield, UK and Worldwide, December 4, 2003 /Wi-Fi Technology News/-To the average broadband consumer the concept of interoperability should mean nothing. But to silicon providers, manufacturers and operators, interoperability is key to deliver an easy set-up and positive broadband experience to end-users - easy self-installs of DSL modems, simple additions of 802.11 PC cards to an existing home network, etc.
Silicon and software form the foundation of any broadband system, so it is here where the industry initially addresses interoperability. The white paper discusses goals, challenges and approaches to achieve strong interoperability performance within the DSL, cable, 802.11 and VoIP markets.
