Portal Software appoints Luca Lazzaron Regional Vice President for Southern and Eastern EMEA
CUPERTINO, CA (December 18, 2003) /Wi-Fi Technology News/- Portal Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRSF) today announced the appointment of Luca Lazzaron as regional vice president for the Company?s Southern and Eastern EMEA region (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, North Africa, Middle East Area, Eastern European countries and Russia). In his new position, Luca Lazzaron will take responsibility for Portal?s on-going relationships with some of the world?s leading telecommunications providers.
Prior to joining Portal Software, Lazzaron has spent the last five years with Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) where he held several EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) management positions in sales and business development for the company?s Voice Technologies (IP Telephony, IP Contact Centre products, Unified messaging, VoIP Gateway) group.
Previous appointments include sales and general manager with GEOTEL Technology for Southern Europe (acquired by Cisco Corporation). Lazzaron also served as an account manager, regional sales manager and sales director with Parametric Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: PMTC).
