    Avaya Korea and LG Electronics Forges Business Partnership

    SEOUL , KOREA /Wi-Fi Technology News/- Avaya Korea Ltd., the Korean subsidiary of Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of communications networks and services for businesses, and LG Electronics, a global player in electronics & telecommunications and the number one PBX provider in the local market, announced they have signed a business partnership distribution agreement in the IP convergence area.



    This business partnership will pave the way for further collaboration to meet evolving communications needs of Korean customers and help them achieve higher returns on investment (ROI) and lower total cost of ownership (TCO), while enhancing productivity and efficiency.

    As LG Electronics, which is a leading player in the local PBX market with the largest market share, will become a distribution channel for Avaya's IP convergence solution portfolio, local customers will have more convenient access to advanced communications solutions and support provided by Avaya through LG's vast distribution network. LG has offices in nine provinces across the country with a total 25,000 staff in Korea.

    The two companies will also carry out training programs, and seek collaboration with key systems and network integrators to provide reliable solutions and services and will focus on expanding the telecommunications and enterprise markets. The partnership will provide Avaya Korea with a strong local distribution network and technology support system and will strengthen LG Electronics' market leadership in the sector.

    Kwan-Yong Lee, senior director of LG Electronics, said, "We are very happy to work with a world-leading IP convergence solution provider like Avaya. With this partnership we hope to fulfill various types of communication needs of our customers by providing Avaya's IP convergence solutions as well as technical support in the local market.
