i have a wireless laptop and 2 wireless pcs and a wireless router.
i can access net from all but i want to connect computers together for file and printer sharing, and still access net from each one. i know its a simple thing but i just cant get it working. i disabled zone alarm and i can ping but no dice!!

pc1=xp pro sp2
pc2=xp pro
laptop=xp home sp2
router=3com
ISP=irish broadband

First of all please check the file and printer sharing is enabled in all of your systems.

if enabled, share a folder in one of the PCs.Note the IP of the PC

Then browse the IP from another PC. take run give \\

If this also not working check the protocol support enabled in your AP.

Whenever I have problems with file-sharing etc it usually has something to do with how many workgroups you have on the network. Once a workgroup is installed there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it. If all else fails. Format all PCs and start workgroups from scratch. A bit drastic but a COMPLETE last resort
