The wireless repeater (a Pheenet wap-454) in my building was reset. I am meant to keep an eye on the equipment for the building residents, but don't really know too much about it. I can log on to the AP, and change its setting to repeater, but how can I find out other details of what it needs to be set to? How can I get information from the network about parent MAC addresses, and/or parent SSIDs?

And how can I find out if the device should be set as a universal repeater or a WDS repeater?

Is there any software/freeware that can show me all the SSIDs on a wireless network?

Any suggestions would be helpful, I really am in the dark with this one.
Dan
