forum,

I have a computer equipped with a dlink wi fi card. My neighborhood has loads of wi-fi routers and I have the tallest roof. My hope is to install a antenna on the roof. this is about 100 feet from my computer.
Do I need some type of bridge between the antenna and my wi fi card or can I connect the antenna directly to my computer?

How long of an extension cable, can I attach to an antenna without loosing signal strength?

I have a diagram of what I thought I might need here:

ANY HELP towards the easiest connect would be great!! I'm not yet concerned with having a router in my space, but I may in the future.

Thanks,

Nick
